Influential Books Tag (started by readsusieread)

All of these books have had some kind of influence on me. Whether they got me to start reading, made me understand myself better, or just inspired me endlessly. These are not necessarily my favourite books—in fact, I don’t think I could ever re-read the Dutch book on this list without cringing—they’re just books that have been important to me in different stages of my life, in all kinds of different ways.

What’s so interesting about this tag is that you’re not really supposed to explain why these books have influenced you so much, so here you go:

  1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  2. It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini
  3. Just One Day (Just One Day, #1) by Gayle Forman
  4. I Don’t Want To Be Crazy by Samantha Schutz
  5. Make Good Art by Neil Gaiman
  6. The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
  7. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  8. Hoe Overleef Ik series by Francine Oomen (Dutch)
  9. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling
